Delivery

The cost of your delivery will be calculated and displayed at the Checkout based on the weight and size of your order, and the delivery address you provide. Delivery options and times vary by locality and/or country. If your country isn’t displayed in the Checkout process, please contact us for a delivery quote.

Typical mainland UK delivery costs

Royal Mail Standard (most parcels under 2kg): £3.00
Standard Courier (FedEx / DPD) Deliveries (most parcels 2-30kg): £7.99
Standard Pallet Deliveries (most parcels over 30kg): £40

We attempt to dispatch all items within 1 working day, although many are dispatched on the same day when your order is received before 12pm.

Deliveries will be sent using a trackable parcel carrier where possible and most deliveries will require a signature from someone over the age of 18 years old.  If a signature cannot be obtained when the delivery is attempted, it will be returned to the local depot and a card left to enable you to rearrange at your convenience. This may include the ability to select an alternative delivery address however you will be liable for any additional charges payable to the carrier for this service.

Deliveries by parcel carrier take place Monday to Friday only. Weekend deliveries may be available at additional cost – please contact us on +44 (0) 1325 321236 or info@heatandthings.com if you’d like to arrange a weekend delivery.

Some smaller items may be sent using Royal Mail which may not require a signature but may still be too large for a standard letterbox. If so and you are not at home to receive your delivery, a card will be left to enable you to collect it from your local Royal Mail delivery office or rearrange delivery.  These items can be sent to all standard UK post codes including Northern Ireland.

Deliveries to remote areas of the UK including the Scottish Highlands and all UK islands, Northern Ireland and all international destinations will incur a longer transit time from when you receive our dispatch notification. Approximate transit times from when your order is dispatched are:

These transit times are subject to change, and can be affected by industrial action, weather conditions and customs delays.  Where possible you will be provided with a tracking code to enable you to monitor the progress of your delivery, unless you select delivery via Royal Mail which is not tracked.

On rare occasions whereby an attempted delivery fails and the courier returns the items to us, a re-delivery fee of £10 will apply which must be paid before we re-send your order. If you do not receive your order within the above timescales, please contact us as your order may be held at a local delivery depot.

Please ensure that the contact telephone number and email address on your order are both correct and up to date to enable us or our delivery partners to contact you in the event of any delivery queries. For deliveries by Pallet Carrier, our delivery partner will endeavour to contact you by telephone approximately one hour before delivery.

We strongly advise you do not book any installers or engage in preparatory work until full receipt of your goods, and you have checked your goods to ensure that no damage has occurred in transit.

Please note: we will only deliver to the address on the order and couriered goods will not be left without a signature.  From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage shall be your responsibility.
