Diamond Electric Kitchen Plinth Heater 1.9kw

(9 customer reviews)

This 1.9kW electric kitchen plinth heater is designed to fit beneath a 500mm wide kitchen cabinet and makes excellent use of the otherwise ‘dead’ space beneath your kitchen units.  Replacing a wall mounted radiator, you can create space for additional kitchen units or white goods, or simply remove an unsightly standard radiator.

Available with a choice of grille colours – white, black or stainless steel, they look great with any style of kitchen and the grilles can be changed easily in the future if you change your kitchen units.  Lot 20 compliant the plinth heater has two heat settings – 950w and 1.9kW and is controlled by a 7 day programmable timer with built in room thermostat and window open sensing. These heaters will heat almost any size of kitchen easily and efficiently, and the high heat setting is perfect for a ‘boost’ of heat on the cold winter mornings.  Fully electric, no adaptations to your central heating pipework are required, and they can therefore be installed under any kitchen unit and used easily at any time of year.  They’re also ideal for areas without central heating including holiday cottages and utility rooms.

Simply cut a hole in the plinth fascia and connect the power lead to a fused spur.  The grille fits to the outside of the plinth heater to give a neat finish.

Easy to fit with quite a good cable length. I installed it in 90 minutes.
It doesn’t need to timer unit – that would be ideal for setting the time when you got up and again when you come home from work – but I’m retired.
Only issue was the self-drilling screws to fasten the unit to the kack board are too short. I was an engineer in a former life so have dozens for nuts, bolts. wahsers and screw!

Just what I needed to add a ‘boost’ heater to the kitchen. I haven’t installed the timeclock – not required – but a small neon ‘on’ light would have been useful on the unit.

Brought to replace old heaters in kitchen kick space. Very impressed with output and quieter than my old models.

Had to dismantle to refit fan which had dislodged during transit. Very noisy during use. But does heat the space very quickly even on low setting.
